Caries prevention and bite disorders are essential in the treatment of children. A lot of parents neglect early symptoms of caries stating that milk teeth will be replaced with permanent ones anyway. Untreated milk teeth may have a pernicious impact on future permanent teeth. The first of them, the so-called ‘sixes’, appear around the age of six and their cutting is not preceded by falling out of milk teeth. Kids often don’t clean their teeth carefully enough, which leads to fast development of caries.
Thanks to systematic control visits, the process of “sixes” grow does not remain unnoticed. Then, easy preventive procedures (fissure sealing) and proper oral hygiene allow to secure them against caries fully.
